Spherical Fire Suppression Bomb

Compact UAV-deployable sphere for rapid early-stage fire control

The Spherical Fire Suppression Bomb is a precision-engineered, UAV-deployable spherical payload designed to deliver rapid fire suppression in confined, elevated, or hard-to-reach areas. Weighing just 2 kg (4.4 lb) and capable of covering over 6 m² (65 ft²) per unit, this compact device is filled with dry powder or water-based extinguishing agents and can be released via multirotor or VTOL drones. With multi-mode ignition, SLAM-enabled navigation, and AI-guided targeting, it offers an effective first-response solution for high-risk environments such as warehouses, forests, and high-rise facades.

Spherical Fire Suppression Bomb

Flarenix Spherical Fire Suppression Bomb

Designed for fast response in dynamic fire environments, the Spherical Fire Suppression Bomb integrates mechanical simplicity with advanced UAV coordination. The unit is constructed from impact-resistant composite housing, designed to withstand in-flight vibration, thermal exposure, and surface impact. Upon activation, the payload disperses its extinguishing agent in a radial 360-degree pattern, forming a dense cloud that rapidly suppresses combustion by displacing oxygen and interrupting the heat chain reaction.

The suppression agent can be selected based on fire scenario:

  • Dry Powder – Suitable for Class A (solids), B (flammable liquids), and C (electrical) fires.

  • Water-Based Agent – Ideal for surface-level Class A fires with high heat load.

Three triggering mechanisms ensure reliable activation across deployment environments:

  • Photoelectric fuze – triggers when exposed to flame light intensity

  • Impact detonation – activates upon contact with structure or ground

  • Timed delay – configurable for synchronized multi-unit drops

The bomb is deployed vertically from UAVs at low to moderate altitude. Integrated drones use AI-based fire detection with infrared and visible-spectrum cameras, while SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) allows autonomous flight in GPS-limited or obstacle-heavy areas.

The extinguishing agents used are UL-compatible, and deployment is designed in reference to NFPA 18, 2001, and 2010 fire suppression standards. Customization is available for agent type, shell material, or fuse sensitivity depending on operational needs.
