Unlike conventional UAV systems, this drone is designed for single-use deployment: once it delivers its fire-extinguishing payload, recovery is not required or expected. The platform uses a racing-drone-based flight frame reinforced with high-temperature insulation, vibration-tolerant electronics, and impact-ready fuselage materials, capable of surviving high-speed ingress through windows or structural gaps.
Guided by first-person-view (FPV) telemetry, the operator navigates through dynamic interior spaces with real-time precision. The 4 kg (8.8 lb) projectile contains 2 kg (4.4 lb) of dry powder or water-based agent, optimized for localized suppression of Class A (solid combustible) and Class B (flammable liquid) fires. The suppressant disperses radially on activation, creating a dense, thermally resistant cloud over a 10 m² (108 ft²) area.
Activation can be triggered manually via radio link or automatically by an onboard thermal sensor, which detects heat signatures above 150°C (302°F). This ensures responsive action whether line-of-sight is available or not. The drone’s electronics and actuation modules are compliant with FCC Part 15 emission standards, and the extinguishing agent is compatible with NFPA 18/200 use cases.
