Throwable Fire Suppression Device

The Flarenix Throwable Fire Suppression Device is a non-pyrotechnic, aerial-deployable extinguishing capsule engineered for rapid response through vertical drop, horizontal launch, or clustered deployment using UAV-based launcher systems. Designed for early-stage fire intervention, it delivers agent payloads directly to ignition points in locations that are elevated, obstructed, or too hazardous for personnel. The device provides full 360° dispersion with an effective coverage radius of 1.6–1.8 m (5.2–5.9 ft), offering up to 10 m² (108 ft²) of suppression area across wildland, industrial, and critical infrastructure environments.

Throwable Fire Suppression Bomb

Product Description

Weighing 2 kg (4.4 lb) and constructed with a shock-resistant composite shell, the Flarenix throwable device is engineered specifically for UAV launcher integration and manual emergency deployment. It is internally configurable with three fire-control agent types—ABC dry chemical formulated to align with the agent performance characteristics referenced in NFPA 10, a water-based suppressant for rapid surface cooling and early Class A knockdown, or an aerosol-forming compound suitable for enclosed and semi-enclosed environments and aligned with aerosol behavior characteristics described in NFPA 2010 application principles. Each filling option is paired with a non-explosive mechanical dispersal module that uses a controlled internal pressure cartridge to rupture its release membrane, enabling uniform 360° agent distribution without combustion or pyrotechnics. The dispersal mechanism contains no pyrotechnic components of any type, ensuring safe transport, handling, and UAV integration under standard aviation safety practices.

The activation system incorporates three logic modes to support varied operational demands. An optical flame-trigger sensor responds to flame radiation above defined thresholds; an impact-based trigger activates upon surface contact forces of approximately 25–30 g; and a timed-delay mode provides programmable actuation between 2 and 6 seconds for coordinated UAV launches or cluster-pattern deployments. The device interfaces with clamp-type mounts, rail-based launchers, and clustered payload bays, maintaining compatibility with platforms such as DJI Matrice, Freefly Alta, and other high-payload UAVs.

The design accommodates both aerial and ground handling requirements, supporting safe drops from heights up to 5 m (16 ft) during loading and enabling optimal aerial release under wind conditions up to 8 m/s (18 mph). Its environmental operating range spans –10°C to 55°C (14°F to 131°F), with a storage tolerance of –20°C to 60°C (–4°F to 140°F). All agent configurations and dispersal methods follow the applicable performance principles referenced in NFPA 10, NFPA 18, and NFPA 2010 for their respective agent categories.

Product Features
